Quite simply, we sell you a suitable car that meets your individual requirements, give general advise on insurance if required and then re-purchase the car from you when you've finished with it.

The main advantages of this scheme are:

  • the weekly usage charge is much lower than self-drive hire rates;
  • there is no VAT involved (chargeable @ 15% on a conventional self-drive hire);
  • insurance can often be arranged at a substantially cheaper rate than self-drive hire insurance.
  • all cars are covered by mechanical breakdown insurance covering the major mechanical parts of the car - protecting you from any major unforeseen expenses on the car.

At the end of the period:

  • you are free to sell the car to whoever you please - we are here as a guaranteed buyer should you wish to re-sell it back to us (hence 'Buy-Back'). Usually the price will be agreed when you first buy the car (subject to the car being returned clean and undamaged).
  • we will surrender the road tax and repay you for the unexpired balance;
  • we may be able to cancel the insurance policy and obtain a refund for you on your behalf (where we arranged it for you in the first place).

Another major benefit

We may be able to pick up on any existing UK insurance ‘no-claims’ bonus. Most UK insurance companies only allow a maximum break of 2 years before a ‘no-claims’ bonus becomes invalid. Some companies allow 3 years. Using our Scheme helps you to keep your discount valid. Alternatively, if you've been using a company or mission vehicle whilst overseas, we are often able to obtain a ‘no-claims’ bonus from that on your behalf. This scheme is open to both UK and non-UK citizens/licence holders.
